Second Grade

I just finished 2nd grade. It was really fun. I'm going to miss my friends, especially my best friend Catalina. My assistant teacher, Mrs. Jones, is retiring. She has worked at school for 30 years. I'm not going to miss Mrs. Goins because she is my neighbor. I really liked math in 2nd grade. The fractions were a little hard to do. I'm working on it. I didn't like writing real stories, I liked writing detailed stories. I didn't like writing 8 sentences but it was fun. The most fun thing I did in 2nd grade was reading. I had these really great chapter books and I was one of the highest readers. We do think marks that we use for our vocabulary. When we get a word, we go get a dictionary and write the meaning down and what page the word was on. Mason H. was in my class every year at B.H.T. He was very fun. I had a great time in 2nd grade. My favorite special was P.E. We have a lot of these programs at school. I liked the programs. The programs made me feel happy inside. My favorite lunch was nachos. My not-so-favorite lunch was meatloaf. I usually sit with people that are bad at school so they can be good. My best friends are Mercedes, Catalina, and Kylie. Kylie is really funny. My favorite field trip was going to the zoo. We saw really big turtles at the zoo and I mean THEY'RE BIG! We saw toads. They were cool. We really saw a really tall giraffe. It was taller than my house I think. I loved second grade. The best thing at BHT was that I got to see all my friends and the teachers. I am going to be sad during summer because I won't get to see a lot of my favorite teachers because I'm going to J.J.J. next year. I'm going to wash my car this summer and go to my neighbor's house, Mrs. Goins and help with the baby. Mrs. Goins is pregnant. She thinks she is having it in June.
